This is a MUST visit while in Kyoto. There's no better place for relaxation and stress relief. It was my friend and I's first time visiting and Tatsuki was phenomenal. Very patient, kind, gentle, and made the whole experience comfortable. Excellent Japanese massage. I came in with shoulder and neck pain, left without it. My friend and I decided to treat ourselves to a massage while traveling through Kyoto and found Kartena through a Google search. Initially I had a problem (a me problem) while trying to book, and the spa staff were incredibly responsive, kind and supportive throughout the booking process. Our massages were with Manami and Riho and both of us left relaxed, feeling pampered and our aches and pains from days of exploring soothed.
